Connecting to Stripe®

Stripe® is a payment processing platform that allows you to accept payments from your customers and transfer them to your bank account.

All payments are processed on your behalf and transferred immediately to your Stripe® account.

Please be aware, that when you enable Stripe® in your account, you maintain a direct relationship with Stripe® and are responsible for all payments made through our platform.

Connecting your Stripe® account

To connect your Stripe® account, go to your Settings and look for the Payments section. Then, click on the "Connect with Stripe®" button and complete the onboarding process.

caution

You must accept the Stripe® Connected Account Agreement and other applicable Stripe® terms and conditions to be able to use Stripe® with Mailjour.

Once your Stripe® account is connected, you'll be redirected to Mailjour and if everything is setup correctly, you'll see a "CONNECTED" badge in the Payments section.

If you see a "FINISH CONFIGURATION" button, it means that something is still missing and you need to complete the onboarding process in Stripe®. Click on the button to be redirected to Stripe® and complete the onboarding process.

Fees

Stripe® charges a fee for each captured payment and the fee depends on the country where your Stripe® account is registered. You can find the fees for your country on the Stripe® pricing page.

The fee is deducted from the amount transferred to your Stripe® account.

Refunds

Stripe® does not charge any fee for refunds. However, the fee charged for the original payment will not be refunded.

You can request a refund from the Invoice (https://app.mailjour.com/dashboard/billing) you want to refund. The refund will be processed by Stripe® and the amount will be transferred to your customer's payment method.

Chargebacks

A Chargeback occurs when a customer disputes a payment with their bank. The bank will then reverse the payment and the funds will be transferred back to the customer's payment method.

Stripe® charges a fee when a Chargeback (also known as Dispute) is issued over a captured payment. The fee is automatically deducted from your Stripe® account balance and the amount will depend on the fee imposed by the banking network that issued the claim.

tip

You can also contact Stripe® to enable "Chargeback Protection" to protect yourself from Chargebacks. If you enable this feature, Stripe® will cover the amount of the Chargeback and the fee imposed by the banking network. In exchange, Stripe® will charge you a fee of 0.4% of the amount of the payment. More info: Chargeback Protection.
