Capturing Payments

Payments are captured automatically when the Parcel is marked as Delivered.

Payments are pre-authorized when the customer accepts a Bid, except for Bids automatically accepted by Commerce users, where no pre-authorization is done by default, unless you explicitly require it at the time of placing the Bid.

All payments are processed on your behalf by Stripe® and transferred immediately to your Stripe® account. You'll be able to track the status of the payment in the Stripe® Dashboard.

Do not capture payments in Stripe (Dashboard or API) before the Parcel is delivered! Any payment initiated through the platform but captured externally will be automatically refunded, and you'll be liable for any fees incurred.

If you need to capture the payment before the Parcel is delivered, please ask your customer to enable "advance payment" in the Parcel. This will allow you to capture the payment at any time and no refund will be issued automatically.
